Acupuncture

Niyada Cohen qualified with an upper second degree in Chinese medicine and Acupuncture. Niyada is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Acupuncture is an oriental healthcare treatment traditionally prescribed for pain relief, especially for muscular and back related disorders. Currently, in the West, it is also used to treat anxiety, sleep disturbance, depression and infertility.

Acupuncture involves the stimulation of points on the body by the insertion of very fine needles which are then manipulated manually or by electrical stimulation. It is accepted in the UK as a safe form of treatment when administered by qualified practitioners using sterile needles and carries a very low risk of adverse effects.

Acupuncture may provide relief for some MS-related symptoms, including pain, spasticity, numbness and tingling, bladder problems, and depression.

Niyada recognises that her patients are unique individuals for whom there can be no "one size fits all approach".
