Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

We offer oxygen therapy in a special chamber which is lightly pressurised with air to 1.5, 1.75 and 2 atas (equivalent water depths of 16, 24 and 33 feet).

People with Multiple Sclerosis can benefit from breathing pure oxygen at these higher pressures: a higher concentration of oxygen can be absorbed, providing relief from symptoms such as fatigue, sensory perception problems, poor balance and mobility issues, bladder control, incontinence and even speech problems. It is offered by many MS Therapy Centres around the UK, including ours.

Oxygen therapy is also an accepted treatment for other medical conditions, such as burns, carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness (the bends), infections, and radiation-induced tissue injury. It has also been used to aid recovery from sports-related injuries.

Our chamber, located at our Centre in northwest London, sits up to six people per one hour session. During initial sessions pressure may be varied to suit different needs, and all responses are carefully monitored and recorded by trained assessors.
